Daniela and Marc’s wedding took place in a small village in Aargau, Switzerland. Surrounded by nature, it was an outdoor celebration with strong boho influences and a relaxed festival atmosphere. The day felt personal, warm, and full of intention.
Both Daniela and Marc are very artistic, which showed in every detail. Many of the decorations were handmade by the couple themselves, with the help of close friends and family. From the styling to the atmosphere, everything reflected who they are.
This was also a beautifully international wedding. Guests travelled from far away, creating a lively mix of cultures and traditions. International weddings in Switzerland are some of my favourites, as they combine emotional depth with unique personal touches.
Meaningful Details That Tell a Story
What made this Swiss wedding truly unforgettable were the details. Sneakers embroidered with sequins and pearls by the bride’s mother. Guests throwing handmade paper airplanes during the ceremony exit. A small wagon called “Träumli” that transported the wedding party to the reception area.
There were food stands instead of a traditional dinner. Sausages, macaroni and cheese, curry, salads. Strings of fairy lights, handmade bunting, wooden crates, metal buckets filled with wild flowers. Every element added to the relaxed and joyful mood of the day.
